KINETIC FIELDS |
East Bay Shoreline

Berkeley, CA
Contemplating the changing elevational relationship between the sea and sky, we spontaneously floated a series of 3'-wide balloons along the Bay's edge. The result is a basic 'kinetic field' - a moving expression of the landscape as the coming together of wind, gravitational force, and curious people. An essay exploring the stochastic nature of the installation is recorded in Issue 6: Process in Ground Up Journal, a publication of the Department of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning at UC Berkeley.
