Landworks Argentiera

next
Sardinia, Italy
LandWorks was a land art workshop set in Argentiera, a small coastal town that once inspired the writings of Dante's Inferno. Our team sought to bring life to the town's mining history and to honor the labor of mining. To this end, we worked upon the concept of moving and processing material - from below to above, from above to below.  Employing only found objects (terra cotta roof tile, wheel barrow, metal scraps) we collected, carried, processed, and aggregated material to reform and reframe lost spaces in the town center.
